Maria is a writer, cook, and avid reader whose work explores themes of memory and cultural identity. A keen observer of life, Maria believes in the “uniquely portable magic” of books and the quiet power of a life well-lived. She currently lives in Montreal, where she continues to find joy and inspiration in new experiences, flavours, and connections.

Her book, How to Throw an Epic Filipino Barbecue, was released in September 2025. She is working on her second book.
